Goal of Program (PEO)	The Goal of the Academic Program (PEO) is to produce Environmental and Occupational Health Officers who: knowledgeable and expert in safeguarding the health of the community through the preservation and improvement of the quality of the environment and the workplace and the quality of life proficient, innovative and sensitive in dealing with environmental health problems, workplaces and values â€‹â€‹and cultures capable of conducting research and quality consultations at the National and International levels
Duration of study and method of delivery	Full-time studies are eight (8) semesters (4 years), with a minimum credit amount graduating 143 credit hours, including 2 credit co-curriculum. Delivery methods include lecture, practical, tutorial, seminars, student-centered learning, blended learning, class presentations, industry visits, individual assignments, group assignments, e-learning and research.
Credit	143 credits include two (2) credit co-curriculum hours
Method of study	Full time, eight (8) semesters within four (4) years.
Delivery Methods	Diversity of learning methods and resources in classroom through classroom interaction, group discussions, projects, problem solving exercises, presentations and seminars. Outside the lecture room, students are encouraged to attend seminars, knowledge sharing sessions, professional training and conferences. Students are able to gain knowledge, master the skills, and shape their attitude and behavior as a preparation for their learning, individual development, and future careers.
Keperluan kemasukan/ Entry Requirements	The eligibility to attend the Environmental and Occupational Health and Bachelor Program with Honors is as follow: i. STPM Candidate Minimum Requirements A. University General Requirements Passed the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM); Pass with credits in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM / equivalent level; Pass STPM level by getting at least; Grade C (CGPA 2.00) General course subjects; and Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) subjects Get at least Level 3 (Band 3) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET). B. Special Needs of the Program At least Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in Biology subject at STPM and Honors level in Chemistry and Physics at SPM level; or At least Grade B (CGPA 3.00) in Chemistry at STPM and Honors level in Biology and Physics subjects at the ii. Minimum Requirement for KPM Matriculation / Foundation Science UM and A. UPMUniversity General Requirements Passed the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM); Pass with credits in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM / equivalent level; Passed Matriculation KPM / Foundation Science UM and UPM with at least CGPA 00; Get at least Level 3 (Band 3) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET). B. Special Needs of the Program Matriculation of Life Science / Physical Science. At least Grade B (3.00) in Biology and test subjects in Chemistry and Physics at the SPM level; or At least Grade B (3.00) in Chemistry subjects and honors in Biology and Physics subjects at SPM level. iii. Minimum Requirements of Eligibility Eligibility A. University General Requirements Passed the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM); Pass with credits in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM / equivalent level; Has a Diploma or other equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University Senate; Obtained at least Level 3 (Band 3) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) B. Special Needs of the Program Diploma in appropriate field or other qualification recognized by the UPM Senate; or Diploma in Nursing, Environmental Health, Engineering, Biology and Chemistry recognized by the UPM Senate; or Candidates serving in Health Services (such as Assistant Environmental Health Officers, Medical Assistants and Nurses from the Ministry of Health Malaysia and recognized by the Senate, UPM must meet the following requirements: - Has SPM Certificate and passed Mathematics and Science; Have a Certificate in the relevant field; Have at least 5 years experience in Environmental Health Sciences Admission Requirement for International Students Click here
Curriculum Revision	The program has gone through curriculum revision in year 2018. The new curriculum has started to be fully implemented in 2018/2019 session.

The results of learning program (Program Outcome, PO) based on the MQA standard is that students can:

PO1: Apply knowledge and skills to assess and monitor the environment, workplace and human health.

PO2: Assess, prevent, control and manage environmental and occupational health problems.

PO3: Plan, implement and evaluate program health and health programs and strategies.

PO4: Evaluate and review occupational safety and health issues at work and in the community.

PO5: Interpreting, analyzing, synthesizing and proposing preventive and security measures in occupational safety and health.

PO6: Educate and train workers, employers and the public on Occupational Safety and Health.

PO7: Using evidence-based scientific basis in discussing improvement ideas in the field of Occupational Safety and Health.

PO8: Shows the sensitivity and responsibility of society, culture, religion and the environment.

PO9: Comply with legal and ethical principles as well as professional code of conduct in environmental and occupational health.

PO10: Communicate effectively in oral and written form with peers, healthcare professionals, stakeholders and general public advocacy.

PO11: Demonstrate professional, management, interpersonal and social skills.

PO12: Demonstrate leadership and collaboration skills with other healthcare professionals and professionals.

PO13: Identify, analyze and interpret critical data and environmental and occupational health problems to provide proof-based solutions.

PO14: Conduct research related to environmental health and occupation under supervision.

PO15: Use information and communication technology (ICT) and system management information to improve environmental and occupational health.

PO16: Utilize lifelong learning skills and principles in academic and career development.

PO17: Incorporating business and real world perspectives at work and daily activities and demonstrating entrepreneurial skills.
