The Faculty Sports Carnival 2019 or KASUF 2019 was held recently from 10 to 18 November 2019. It created an opportunity for all students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to develop a closer and cordial relationship through sports. The carnival featured a number of sports, including road relays, volleyball, futsal, bowling, netball and even dodgeball. Students from 5 clubs under the auspices of the Medical and Health Sciences Student Association (MEHSSA) attended the events, namely Foodnatic Club, Biomedic Club, Nursing Club, Medic Club and ENVOCH Club. The events took place in the vicinity of College 17 and Fantasy Bowl, South City Plaza. The Faculty Sports Carnival concluded with a closing ceremony and presentation of prizes on 18 November 2019 (Monday). Dr. Ahmad Akira Omar Farouk represented Deputy Dean (Academic Health Sciences and Student Affairs) as the guest of honour and was accompanied by Dr. Shaharuddin Mohd Sham, MEHSSA’s advisor. That night, Foodnatic Club was crowned the KASUF 2019 champion by winning four gold and 1 silver medals, followed by ENVOCH Club with 2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals. Medic Club was in third place with 1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals, followed by Biomedic Club with 1 gold medal. Nursing Club was at 5th place with 3 bronze medals. Congratulations to the winners, and to others, try again next year. The program has received tremendous response from all students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and is expected to continue in the coming years to strengthen the bond between students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
