PENGENALAN

Kumpulan penyelidikan Genetik & Perubatan Regeneratif ditubuhkan pada tahun 2012 sebagai pusat penyelidikan yang dikenali sebagai GRMRC. Kumpulan ini telah menjenamakan semula akronimnya kepada ReGEN tetapi mengekalkan nama kumpulan penyelidikan yang sama. ReGEN terdiri daripada dua kumpulan penyelidikan utama: Kumpulan Penyelidikan Genetik Perubatan dan Kumpulan Penyelidikan Perubatan Regeneratif. Kumpulan Penyelidikan Genetik Perubatan memberi tumpuan kepada pengembangan penyelidikan genetik kepada pemahaman yang lebih menyeluruh mengenai penyakit genetik manusia, dan untuk menghasilkan kaedah yang lebih baik untuk pengesanan dan rawatan gangguan genetik. Kumpulan Penyelidikan Perubatan Regeneratif menumpukan pada bidang sel induk dewasa & embrio, keradangan & penolakan imun, pembaikan & regenerasi, teknik kejuruteraan tisu, dan pembangunan strategi terapi baharu. Setiap penyelidik ReGEN menjalankan salah satu daripada bidang penyelidikan ini, yang pada masa yang sama banyak bertindih. Bidang penyelidikan silang disiplin antara saintis juga akan membantu menjana idea penyelidikan yang hebat dan akhirnya meningkatkan hasil penyelidikan. Bersama-sama, tujuan kami adalah untuk menyumbangkan kepakaran kami ke arah kecemerlangan dalam penyelidikan genetik dan perubatan regeneratif dalam usaha mewujudkan era perubatan peribadi melalui penyelidikan yang melibatkan pendekatan penyelidikan asas-terjemahan-klinikal antara disiplin.

 

VISI

Menjadi pusat penyelidikan bereputasi antarabangsa dan sebagai pusat rujukan terkenal untuk penyelidikan dalam Perubatan Genetik dan juga Perubatan Regeneratif.

 

MISI

Melakukan penyelidikan genetik perubatan dan perubatan regeneratif berkualiti tinggi ke arah pembangunan modal insan yang mampan dan penyebaran penemuan saintifik sejagat untuk meningkatkan kualiti hidup.

 

MATLAMAT

  • Menyerlahkan kepentingan genetik dan perubatan regeneratif dalam perubatan.
  • Untuk memberikan sumbangan yang lebih baik dalam menjalankan penyelidikan yang melibatkan pendekatan penyelidikan asas-translasi-klinikal antara disiplin.
  • Untuk mengukuhkan penyelidikan asas sebagai teras penyelidikan translasi untuk meningkatkan proses saringan dan diagnosis genetik, dan terapi regeneratif berdasarkan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai mekanisme yang mendasari permulaan, perkembangan dan pewarisan gangguan genetik.
  • untuk memberikan sumbangan yang lebih baik ke arah pengembangan prosedur diagnostik berdasarkan analisis genetik dan molekul berdasarkan teknik canggih dan terkini.
  • Untuk menarik pelajar cemerlang melanjutkan pengajian pascasiswazah dalam genetik perubatan dan perubatan regeneratif.
  • Untuk melatih dan menghasilkan siswazah berpengetahuan dan kompetitif dalam genetik perubatan dan perubatan regeneratif.
  • Untuk mendapatkan lebih banyak peluang untuk bekerjasama dengan pakar klinikal dan saintis dalam menjalankan penyelidikan yang melibatkan penyelidikan asas-translasional-klinikal antara disiplin dengan memperluaskan kerjasama dengan penyelidik tempatan dan antarabangsa dalam bidang Genetik dan Perubatan Regeneratif.
