Forewords from the Deputy Dean (Academic of Health Sciences and Student Affairs)

Assalammualaikum, Selamat Sejahtera and Welcome to all students to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. First of all, the Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni Division, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences would like to congratulate you on your successful journey to step foot into this green campus, UPM with mission to acquire knowledge to fulfill your dreams and your beloved family.

It is a mission of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM to become a center of excellence through effective teaching, research, professional services and consultancy in medicine and health sciences. Therefore, students will be exposed to a variety of knowledge in the program of study followed by other soft skills such as leadership, communication, and adaptability in all situations while serving the community and the nation. This will be achieved through the program curriculum being followed as well as the involvement in co-curriculum activities organized by various student associations and clubs in the faculty monitored by this unit.

Student excellence is not only measured in terms of academic achievement but also through student involvement in various co-curricular activities. This is in line with the objectives of the faculty to provide trained staff in medicine, biomedical, nutrition and other health sciences that can serve the community and nation.

You as a student, take advantage of this opportunity to build and shape your personality that can make you a better person and contribute to the advancement of the nation in line with the motto of UPM, the "With Knowledge, We Serve"
