KPI 2026 Workshop Strengthens the Strategic Direction of the Department of Medical Microbiology

SERDANG, 17 May – The Department of Medical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) organised the KPI 2026 Department of Medical Microbiology Workshop from 15 to 17 May 2026 at Farmgrill House, Uniputra Golf Club, UPM and Kebun Rimba, Janda Baik, Pahang with the participation of 24 academic and support staff.

This workshop aims to provide an understanding of the new KPI, strengthen the role of each department member in achieving the set targets and plan strategies and activities that support the achievement of KPIs.

Among the main focuses is ensuring the sustainability of laboratory services through the realignment of research-based service activities (research-based income generation) and expanding the customer network to external institutions, industry and internal researchers.

Throughout the workshop, participants also strengthened the culture of teamwork through the aspirations of "I LOVE JMP", "Kena ada jiwa JMP" and "JMP Boleh" as a catalyst for commitment in realising the department's targets. This workshop is hoped to strengthen the excellence of the Department of Medical Microbiology in the fields of research, laboratory services and strategic networking, in line with the aspirations of FPSK and UPM.
