Forewords from the Deputy Dean (Graduate and Industry & Community Relations)

Greetings.

Welcome to the homepage of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia in general and in particular to the division of Deputy Dean Office (Graduate and Industry & Community Relations). We are responsible and committed in providing a comprehensive platform, where all the information pertaining graduate studies and the planning and implementation of projects and programs for the involvement of faculty-industry-society.

From the aspect of graduate, we at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is committed to sustainability in education to produce holistic graduates. Measuring the success of a graduate is not only in terms of academic excellence but also in achieving the GSA (Generic Student Attribute), where graduates are able to use and implement the knowledge and skills such as communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving, teamwork, moral and ethical values, entrepreneurial, leadership and lifelong learning to serve the community and the nation through research, professional services and community activities.

We acknowledge and appreciate the direct involvement of the industries and the public to facilitate the sharing and dissemination of knowledge for the benefit, progress and development of society and the nation as a whole. Here, we provide a networking platform whereby industry and society can interact directly with our staff to create a symbiotic partnership that delivers results and positive impact to all entities. We are constantly seeking mutually beneficial collaborative industry and community linkages and please do visit our website for more information.

Finally, I hope the relationships fostered between students-faculty-industries-communities will contribute to the advancement and preservation of the country and upholding the values of the nation in line with the university’s motto 'WITH KNOWLEDGE WE SERVE'.
