SERDANG 21 June – Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) had a visit to the Sultan Abdul Samad Library. This visit was attended by a total of 16 staff consisting of newly appointed Faculty EKSA Committee Members. The visit was welcomed by Puan Haslawati Maamor, as EKSA Chairperson at the Sultan Abdul Samad Library. Puan Haslawati informed that she was very much welcomes the arrival of the FPSK EKSA Committee to the Library and grateful for choosing the Library as a benchmark for FPSK.

The purpose of this visit is to give space and opportunity to faculty members, especially newly appointed officers, to gain knowledge related to EKSA and to give exposure to the implementation of EKSA in general at UPM and specifically in the faculty.

Faculty EKSA Committee members were briefed by Puan Nurul Aine Mokhtar, Library EKSA Coordinator about EKSA and its implementation. After that, the Faculty EKSA Committee was taken on a tour around the Library to see for themselves how the Library implements EKSA as a whole.

Hopefully with this visit, Faculty EKSA Committee members will be able to provide useful ideas for implementing EKSA in the faculty. Not only that, Faculty EKSA Committee members can also plan various activities to further brighten up the implementation with the involvement of all parties. Therefore, the cooperation of all members of the faculty is essential to achieve the overall goals of EKSA.

At the end of the event, Faculty EKSA Committee Members took a picture with Library EKSA Committee Members as a souvenir.
