Department of Surgery

The Department of Surgery was established in 1998 when the first group of medical students at this university entered the clinical phase. The department is located on the 4th floor of Block B, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

This department focuses on research, teaching, and clinical services for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Surgery Department provides clinical services at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Hospital, UPM.

Some of the services provided include:

1. General Surgery.
2. Colorectal Surgery and HIPEC (Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy).
3. Minimally Invasive Surgery.
4. Metabolic and Obesity Clinic.
5. Endoscopy.
6. Day Surgery.
