Department of Nursing

The Department of Nursing and Rehabilitation was first developed from the Unit of Nursing and started to operate officially on 1st August 2015. Prior to this, the Unit of Nursing operated under the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences (1999-2002), Department of Community Health (2002-2008) and Department of Medicine (2008-2015).

The vision of the Department of Nursing and Rehabilitation is to act an organisation centre of excellence in providing education in the field of Nursing and Rehabilitation, focusing mainly on the aspects of teaching and research to produce efficient nurses and rehabilitation professionals. Based on the vision of UPM as a world-class Research University, the mission of our department is to achieve continous excelllence in handling education and teaching programme in the field of nursing and rehabilitation at the level of undergradutes and postgraduates. The Department of Nursing and Rehabilitation also aims to achienve excellence in research, development and consultancy services in the field of nursing and rehabilitation.
